What is it?
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is a condition where the sweat glands are stimulated through nervous impulses and not for the purpose of temparature regulation. Hyperhydrosis can cause anxiety and embarrassment and often affects the patient’s life in many ways negatively. It can appear at virtually any area, most common are armpits, hands, feet, scalp, back, groin area. Botox works by inhibitting the nervous component of sweat glands, the temparature regulation remains laregely intact.
